Newborn Photography
The beginning of everything
Those first days with your newborn are unlike anything else. The tiny details, sleepy cuddles, the way they curl into your arms, and the feeling of getting to know this little person who's suddenly part of your world. My goal is to ensure the in-home newborn photography sessions in Calgary are relaxed, natural, and centred around your family.
Rather than focusing on elaborate poses or props, I photograph your baby in your arms, the connections between you and your family, and the little details you'll want to remember as they grow.
There's no pressure for everything to be perfect. We can take breaks for feeding, changing, or settling your baby whenever needed.
A Few Things You Might Be Wondering
When should I book my newborn session?I recommend reaching out during your second or third trimester to reserve a spot around your due date. Newborn sessions are typically photographed within the first few weeks after birth. Beautiful photographs can be captured at any stage, so we'll find a time that works best for your family.
Do I need to prepare my home for my newborn session? Not at all! Your home doesn't need to be perfectly tidy or styled for your session. I'll look for spaces with beautiful natural light, which is often near a window, in your bedroom, or in the nursery. We only need a small area to work with, and I'm happy to help move a few things around if needed.
What if my baby is fussy or needs to be fed? That's completely normal and expected! Newborn sessions are relaxed and led by your baby's needs. We'll take as many breaks as necessary for feeding, changing, or settling your little one. There's no pressure to rush or have your baby asleep for the entire session.
The Experience
These lifestyle newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home, where you can settle in and simply be together. I'll gently guide you when needed, using the natural light and spaces in your home to create photographs that feel personal and true to your family.
These sessions aren't about having a perfectly styled home or a perfectly sleepy baby. They're about remembering what life looked and felt like when your baby was little.
